Short Acres Lessons

WEEKLY LESSONS are offered at Short Acres Farm for students of all ages and skill levels in both English and Western. We schedule classes both after school and during the day. Whether this is your first time on a horse or your return to riding, we work to the individual abilities of our clients. By maintaining small class sizes, we have the flexibility to integrate specific lesson objectives into the collective spirits of the class. At Short Acres, classmates and families can often be heard cheering on another student as they finally master a new skill or overcome a longtime fear. Our greatest achievement is your personal triumph!

Life Ride Clinics

Periodically through the year, Life Ride offers weekend clinics for adult riders.

These may be for women only, overcoming fears, or parents of riders. If you are interested

in a clinic, please contact usfor more information.

Life Ride Your Fear:   Horses offer us an amazing gift in their ability to help us overcome our own fears and find our inner strengths. Through this three hour clinic, you will experience the frustration and joys of letting go!

Parent Practice:   Liferide offers parents a clinic designed to teach horse 101 funamentals. We want parents to feel confident about helping their child tack up, maintain general horse safety, and understand basic riding skills.

Women on Horses:   It's time to find your inner cowgirl! Spend a few hours learning basic horse"woman"ship while developing a meaningful relationship with your horse. Through the support of other female riders, you will gain new insight and confidence as a rider. If you rode as a child or never rode at all, this is the clinic for you!
